Best Commentary on Honduras
ByI’ve been collecting dozens of articles on the situation next door, but I’ve dropped all those because this one seems to have the most rational approach to the subject. Carlos is a Guatemalan currently in the US, but has some insight readers might appreciate it, so stop by.

Not the best article I’ve read, but these two points are spot on and are causing me to lose a lot of sleep at night.
“el pueblo hondureño, que se ha polarizado a niveles que fácilmente podrían desembocar en violencia fratricida.”
“ha sido dañada la democracia hondureña que todos dicen defender.”
The next few days and weeks will be very tense. In a fight where there are no good guys the people end up paying the price, again.
In the mid 90’s, when things in Guate were starting to look up a friend said to me “Well, What are they going to do to screw it up this time.” A few days later a horrible event happened and the tourists cleared out the next day.
I feel that we’ve been down this road so many times and just hope for a peaceful resolution. Is that too much to ask?
