Not Good: Remittances in Reverse

The Palm Beach Post is reporting that immigrants in the US are asking families here in Guate to send back some of the money they’ve wired home in the past.  Remittances represent a substantial portion of Guatemala’s net income.

This development is not good for the families, not good for Guate, and not good for the US.
