Welcome to GuateLiving.  Pull up a chair and take a breather from the non-stop hyperbole about Guatemala as a new Garden of Eden.  Yeah, it can be a great place to live for the well-prepared, well-balanced and adaptable person, but there’s more to long-term happiness here than what you read in a tourist magazine or some blog shilling for a travel agency.

My family and I live here full time and love it most of the time.  This is a blog about our life and experiences here, with sincerity and directness you’re not likely to find elsewhere.
